Sweet Paradise bakery in Hamilton

Ordered the Walnut supreme cake for my birthday and it was absolutely spectacular. Thank you!

You might feel the simple feeling of excitement like I do when it comes to the treats found within Sweet Paradise. I think it starts when you pull into the parking lot. Ample spots to park here but if it’s Apple Fritter time (early morning after opening) there might be a few spots already taken. You will find all kinds of fresh baked goods, a deli, treats and more. The team here is very interactive. It feels like old school meets new school as far as the vibe. I highly recommend you stop in here and consider picking up some treats for your next event or just for a simple moment of blissful apple fritter pleasure. Love this place!! Desserts and savory foods are unmatched. Very friendly staff too.The website needs to keep up on the specials. I went in expecting discount cheese as posted on the website. Not the case. Had specials on from December.

OMG! If you love good food and delicious baked goods. Visit this place on the mountain! Don’t go in hungry! - LOL - very busy cake counter at times, be patient.

Quality of food there seems to be their number one priority. Everything I have purchased has been very good! And it smells wonderful when you go in with all the fresh bakery products. You'll have some tough choices...

They have all kinds of baked goods. It is not easy to get into if you are in a wheelchair. It is also pretty tight once you get in. The pastries are phenomenal! It was very busy when we were, but definitely worth the wait.

I use to enjoy Nonno's lemon cookies. They were expensive at $2 each, but a once in a while treat. They are on trays in the open and I assumed made fresh each day. This was not the case, I found, when biting into one found it stale and rock hard. I brought it back and was told " that was the traditional way!". This was just the nudge I needed to learn to make my own lemon cookies at a fraction of the cost and melt in your mouth taste (pictured below).

Awesomeness..... Love their behavior. Very warm. Love their bakery, always fresh and nice. One should try there donuts, pies . . . Early morning when they just come out. Smells incredible 😀

Excellent local Italian bakery. The breads and pastries are some of the best around. They also have many other Italian staples that are of great quality. Friendly staff.

Amazing food, prices, and service!!

Apparently this place only sells donuts, if you're buying 10 dozen. Lol even though I have read reviews and heard from other customers that have bough single or 1 dozen donuts. Sounds like a scam to me.

This is a great boutique deli selling very tasty home made Italian pasta and meat dishes, cold cuts, cheeses and olives, plus dry pasta, canned tomatoes, etc, etc. It also has an absolutely fantastic bakery with fresh bread baked daily. Highly recommend! 🙂👍

Rotten cakeI ordered a ricotta cake for my son's baptism and the ricotta was rotten. I paid 60ish dollars for the slab. When I called to inform them of course they said it was impossible and refused to refund my money. Very disappointing. Won't be back to this establishment.

A Hamilton institution. Lots of desserts, pastries, breads. And reasonably priced as well.

This place has a good selection of meats and cheese. A great smelling bakery section with lots of sweets. The only down side of this place is its size. The place is small and can feel rather cramp fast.

Terrible experience today. Ordered a birthday cake for my wife 3 days ago. I made some changes to the cake as we don't like the sponge cake soaked in rum flavoring. When I asked the young lady the price, she could verify a price as it was cheaper without the extras. She confirmed the price would be around $16 -$20. Unfortunately when I went to pick it up this morning the price sky rocketed to $30. The owner was brought into the discussion and indicated that the young lady got the price wrong. He continued being rude and obnoxious and wished us a great birthday without a cake. What poor customer service and why argue over a birthday cake.

Went in the other day. Havent been here since i was a kid. Totally different inside. Well organized, lots of options. Found they are alittle pricey now but the cost of everything has gone up. You wont be dissapointed, the bread and baked goods are so amazing.

Great selection of frozen store made soups (my fave lentil) and entrees. Fresh Italian breads buns and more! Wide offering of store made pasta sauces. Wonderful selects of deli meats and cheeses. They also have Marty's Pickles a local 3rd generation dill pickle maker.

Family owned business, which has fresh baked bread, cakes, desserts, too many to list. Excellent choice of deli meats, frozen items such as lasagne, tortellini, again too many to list. Lots of different cheeses to choose from. Lastly the best tomato sauce next to homemade.

Fresh rolls, a tray of the veal parm along with some cannoli's make the perfect low effort yet great tasting meal. Staff are friendly and helpful and I have yet to visit without finding exactly what I was looking for.

I always visit too late in the day to find more than a couple kinds of donuts, but the one I had was delicious. The pastry cases are a feast for the eyes!

Great place if you understand growing up with lots of Mortadella, Salami, pasta and bread! This place does it right and has all the good stuff any Italian is looking for. Try there sandwiches at lunch. Pick your bun, bring it to the counter and ask for your favourite. The Italian they make is good but I prefer pure Genoa Slam, mortadella, capocollo on a bun and not the sub bun. It’s clean, staff is always on the ball and they always have fresh stock. I suggest you visit. You can usually see the owner out and about making sure everything is presentable and flowing. Don’t know his name, spoke to him a few times and he’s great guy.

Great Italian bakery. Fresh bread daily, good quality deli meats and reasonably priced. Delicious pastries and friendly staff. I shop there weekly.

I love the donuts and pastries here! The lemon filled Donuts are to-die-for If Only they would cover them with chocolate fondant instead of that horrible white messy powdered sugar. Just saying! *hugs* JACK

Love coming here...outstanding selection of things from bakery, deli, grocery and frozens. Good environment and staff are always friendly. Definitely reccomend theit Peanut Butter and Jam donuts and peanut butter cups!

I came in yesterday to order a dessert for family before my 6 hour drive. Representative packaged the wrong items once I called upon my arrival in Montreal was told they can’t do anything without seeing them. Offered no help or solution to this matter. Said I’d take my business elsewhere they said I should do so. I’d give a negative star review if I could. Will not be coming back and will not be recommending this bakery to anyone. 60$ well spent. Would drive to Toronto to avoid the attitude I just encountered.

I really loved supporting this local business until my daughter learned a hard life lesson that not all companies value on the job training and regular constructive feedback. Not cool, Sweet Paradise.

I went into the bakery asking for Vanicream Cannolis and i was given a different kind of Cannoli, i didn't realize till i got home and i went back and told them what had happened and they shrugged and said i should of watched the person put them in the box, they gave me nothing to solve my problem, i spent 70$ on these for a family gathering and it all went to waste as no one liked the certain cannolis i got! I will not be coming back here to be honest this has happened about twice now, sick of the employees not knowing what certain deserts are

I used to go to this place all the time until my girlfriend called in today to place some Boston Cream donuts on hold and when she picked it up there was none. When she escalated to a team lead nothing changed, no apologizes, nothing. She basically told my girlfriend: “who ever offered to place the the Boston cream donuts on hold should’ve not done that”. Bunch of kids working on this place that need to learn customer service skills. Never again!!! Do yourself a favor and go to Zarkys fine foods.

Great place for bread, deli meat, doughnuts. Most pastries are good, a few items are a miss. Staff is generally helpful and friendly. Parking can be challenge during peak hours.

Sweet Paradise made my wedding cake and it was absolutely perfect! not only did it taste great it looked amazing! The team at Sweet Paradise worked with me to create something special.

Great place to stock up on fine Italian foods of all types. The baked goods caught my attention - freshly baked bread, Calabrese, for example. There's an assortment of buns, all fresh and ready for the start of a great sandwich. The cherry pies looked delicious! A variety of baked goods too numerous to mention are on display as well as racks of doughnuts, and other treats. Some of the items seemed a bit expensive but not outrageously so. The cashiers were friendly and quick to answer questions. It's difficult to imagine how Sweet Paradise only recently came to my attention but I will definitely become a regular customer.

This place make amazing subs! We ordered 2 large to go. We walked around and checked out the products while we waited and they have quite the selection of European goods, (mostly Italian). I wish we had one in St. Catharines where we live. I'd definitely go back for more the next time I'm in the area!

I heard a lot about this business being good with fresh products. We were looking for bread and some pastries- but unfortunately at 1pm on a Thursday afternoon there was nothing but rock hard biscuits. The baked goods a (few donuts ) was not even medium quality, the cold cuts were double the price what normally sells for. (Unprofessional service) Costumer service: bad ,students not trained properly.Price: high Atmosphere: tired Product availability: bad I would not recommend this store to family and friends- instead visit Zarky’s .Thanks for reading.

Decided to stop by as o WAS told they have good donuts, went to the waterdown location and was told this one is bigger and better Very big bakery deli. Lots of selections like the fact that one of the bakers was honest and told me canolli shells are imported. The canolli was ok but the apple fritter was amazing nice spot for all your needs
